Ukraine. A Liberated Land
October 9, 2023
Our new road trip documentary is about the people and villages who lived through the Russian occupation in the Eastern parts of Ukraine.
We traveled in Kharkiv Oblast, very close to the border with Russia (3-4 km), and spoke to a man who suffered from the cruelties of Russian torture. We also tell the story of the former leader of the Ukrainian Muslim community who has now become a paramedic to save human lives.
- Director: Oleksii Kirin. The movie was made with support from the Documenting Ukraine programme at the Institute for Human Sciences in Vienna (IWM).
